Aspire Physiotherapy was established in 2017 to provide high-quality, personalised physiotherapy care to the West Coast community. Our focus is on helping you move better, recover well, and return to the things you enjoy most. We are ACC accredited and welcome both self-referrals and referrals from health professionals. ACC claims can be lodged for you during your appointment.


Roxane Oates BSc (Hons) is the clinical lead and director of Aspire Physiotherapy. She is an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist and registered hand therapist. Roxane qualified in the UK in 2009, and since then has worked in hospitals both in the public and private sector in the UK and New Zealand. Prior to physiotherapy i had completed and gained a BSc (Hons) degree in sports and exercise science in 2006.  In 2016 she completed her post graduate certificate in rehabilitation from AUT. This included a hand and upper limb paper and pain management paper. She is fully registered now and holds ACC hand therapy service contract and Allied health ACC contract. She also has additional qualifications in acupuncture. Roxanes skills include post operative rehabilitation, splinting, sports injury management, Pilates training with the APPI, pre and post natal physio, and the management of persistent pain conditions. More recently we  have started work with RESS on ACL rehabilitation and also musculoskeletal ICP contracts. 



Nev joined the team January 2026 as an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist who trained in the UK and has worked across both public and private healthcare in New Zealand. He is bubbly, approachable, and always finds a way to make clients laugh while remaining highly professional and focused on achieving results. Nev strives to make a real difference for every client, and his dedication shows in the care he provides. Nev specialises in post-operative rehabilitation, sports injury management, musculoskeletal pain, strength and conditioning. Outside of physiotherapy he is passionate about mountain biking and staying active, reflecting his commitment to movement, health, and wellbeing.



ACC Hand Therapy

initial appointment fee. $20 no fees there after initial ax /follow ups for any ACC injuries from the hand to elbow. Duration varies.

ACC Initial Assessment

Duration Varies but typically 40 minutes. $50 fee payable at appointment.

ACC Follow up

Duration typically 30 minutes. $40 fee payable at appointment.

Private funded Initial Assessment

Duration typically 40 minutes . $90 fee payable at appointment.

Private funded Follow up

Duration 30 minutes. $80 fee payable at appointment.

What do I need to bring to my first appointment ?

Please bring your referrals details with you, ACC details, and any  radiology reports. If a self referral no need to bring anything.

What happens if i haven’t lodged an ACC Claim?

That’s not a problem. We can easily lodge an ACC Claim for you. If, however, it is not accepted you will be required to pay the private funding fee.

How do I pay?

You will be expected to pay at your appointment, we have EFPOS available, cash , bank deposits are accepted.

What if I can’t make my appointment ?

Please try and give us as much notice as possible. Cancellations  at short notice will be invoiced a $35 fee. Please try and give 24 hours notice.

Is the clinic wheelchair accessible?

The clinic sites are equipped to be wheel chair accessible , with the toilets also accessible by wheelchair and  parking.
